On 24th May 2009, 19 intrepid ‘young’ men will embark on what promises to be one of the toughest challenges they will ever face.

Over 6 days, they will travel 600 miles by bike from London to the French Alps taking in 3 countries and one of the mountain climbs that the professionals take on during the Tour de France.

There is one extremely good reason why these men will put their bodies through this type of pain…

The young man in this photo is Oliver Hemsley.  Oli was stabbed 8 times in a horrific unprovoked attack on 28th August 2008.   

Tragically Oli’s spinal cord was partially severed during the attack and our efforts are dedicated to Oli’s recovery by raising money for two spinal injury charities and a trust that will help Oli and his family cope with future challenges. You can donate by clicking here.

Furthermore, we wish to raise awareness of the growing problem of knife crime in the UK. Knife crime is not confined to gang culture and there are many innocent victims each year. Many believe it will never happen to them or their families but that is exactly what Oli and his family felt before that tragic night last summer.
